Are you updated with facebook new ads? The facebook
ads have a new look. Recently on Tuesday facebook announced this update for
facebook ads. The image size for ads
will be bigger now. Yes they have
increased the image size for facebook ads.
They are also making ad specs consistent across all
placements. Got it? No? Means if you are a facebook advertiser & running
ads on facebook then you’ll not need multiple images for different ad
placements. By this update the facebook advertisers will get more benefits to
display their product and brand. Larger images will attract more users and will
help advertisers to drive more traffic engagement. With larger images the ads
will perform better as per the prediction.
This will be implemented on desktop as
well as mobile ads. And if you are having running ads on Facebook already then
they will be continue to run even if you don’t confirm the new ad format.
These ad changes will impact Page post
link ads, Page like ads, offers ads and event ads because these ad formats were not designed for all
placements.
How the ads changed:
Larger Images: With
the bigger images facebook gives you (advertisers) more space to display your
brand or product. Facebook recommended that you should use at least 1200 px
wide images for your ads so that it can fit to all placements.
Desktop & Mobile News Feed: Ads aspect ratio will be same for desktop & mobile both.
Now you’ll be able to use same ad images on mobile & desktop news feeds.
Ad Unit Format: Now
facebook will be consistent to ad elements and formats. You’ll get standardized
rules for text truncation, precise details for the additionally pulled content,
clear guide to the ad image size and character counts etc.
