Google+ Updates - Embedded Posts & Author Attribution Introduced

Yesterday 9th September Google + introduces some new features for the user interface. It also includes a tool that allows users to embed public posts (Google+) on other sites.

Embedded Posts:

After this update of embedded posts it’s possible for you to highlight a Google + posts on your news story or blog. You can easily embed the post in your write-ups with the help of embed button which you can find in the right drop down on Google posts. Simply click on the option and the embed code will appear for the post, copy that code and insert in your post where you want it. You can embed the posts with photos as well as text.

It’s a new way for you to increase the audience reach. Yes, someone embed your post on another website, still it will be fully interactive that means users can follow you, +1 the embed post and comment on the embedded post.  This is available to all users from 9th September.

Embedded posts will help you in increasing your audience reach and fan following on the web.

Author Attribution:

2nd they announced is Author attribution. Google authorship was announced before that provides an authorization to your web content. You create and share content on the web but this is not enough you, me and everybody wants to show that you are the author of this content and it belongs to you.  Google authorship give you credit for the content and also helps you in increasing your fan following. But you need to implement Google authorship if you post content on websites other than Google.

Author Attribution is now a solution for this.  Now they had integrated Google+ sign in with their authorship program. Now if you sign in with Google on other than google websites like Wordpress and typepad then the content you publish will be associated with your Google+ profile automatically.

Now your authorship will work but you don’t need to implement it manually. The published content will appear with your name and photo in search engine results and that will help you in your audience expansion automatically.

Right now wordpress.com and typepad are the only platforms for which the author attribution is integrated. But according to their announcement it will be available with other sites as well like wikihow, examiner, about.com etc.  They will announce it soon.
Author attribution will help you in expand the audience on variety of sites and other online platforms.
